The YMCA is an association of people of all ages, ethnic groups and religious affiliations that strives to cultivate the human potential, self-esteem, and dignity of all people. They provide youth memberships to kids ages 6-17 and provide activities that enrich the emotional, physical, and social life of all individuals, families and our community. The YMCA at Walnut Street proudly provides Before- and After-care, Day Camp, and a Teen Center where teenagers can interact with their peers with computers and game systems. Celebrating talented minority students, they also support the Black Achievers Program which pairs minority high school youth with successful adult achievers who, through volunteer service, serve as mentors and role models providing educational, cultural and career guidance.

“SummerCollab has helped Walnut Street YMCA maximize resources around staff hiring, training, system development, and curriculum. Our work with them has helped to transform our camp program, making the program we deliver today completely unrecognizable from that which was offered prior to 2013.”
